In Berlin & online

Find inner clarity.

Develop new perspectives.

I’m Anna Wolf (B.Sc. Psychology), and I support people through stressful phases and transitions – calmly, with a focus on your strengths and on steps that work in everyday life.

The initial call is free and helps us work out whether my support is the right fit.

Psychological Counselling

The psychological counselling I offer is intended as supportive guidance on life issues and decision-making. It provides a space for finding direction, relief and personal development, and is aimed at people who are seeking support with current challenges, including those arising from chronic illness, low energy levels or persistent exhaustion.

Please note that psychological counselling is not psychotherapy and is not a substitute for treatment of mental health conditions.

Topics & key areas

At regular intervals, I offer online sessions on resilience, energy and daily life with a chronic illness. The next online session, “Working with a chronic illness”, will take place on 12 November 2026. Further information is available on the events page. Events.

My approach

Psychological counselling is aimed at people seeking support, guidance or relief, without long waiting times and with a focus on everyday life. My work combines psychological models, practical everyday approaches from social pedagogy and health-promoting elements from lifestyle and mind-body approaches, as well as a holistic view of your life situation. My mediation-based approach helps you to organise your inner processes and develop solutions that are realistic and provide relief.

For me, emotions are important guiding signals. They indicate what a person needs, where boundaries lie and which inner issues require attention.

If required, I can also help you navigate the support system, for example by finding suitable doctors or counselling centres, or with completing applications.

Working together

I support you as an equal partner, helping you navigate various areas of your life. Together, we make sense of situations, develop sustainable strategies and create structure, even when stress persists or health issues shape your day-to-day life. My aim is to guide you towards stability, inner peace and a reliable daily routine.

In my counselling sessions, there is space for anger, fear and grief, as these emotions often provide clues as to where people are feeling stuck or overwhelmed. I’ve written more about this in my article on the significance of fear, anger and grief.

Where I work

Psychological counselling usually takes place online or over the phone: These formats are particularly suitable if you’re short of time, aren’t in Berlin, or feel more at ease in familiar surroundings.

As an additional option, I offer Walk & Talk sessions in Berlin-Neukölln. Many people find conversations in nature feel more relaxed and less stressful than when sitting down. The pace is entirely up to you.

For open conversations in urban spaces, I also offer the Counselling Bench in Berlin-Kreuzberg.

Sessions are held in German. If you’d prefer English, get in touch and we can see whether it works.

Individual sessions and support

I offer short, focused individual sessions as well as ongoing support programmes. The counselling is tailored to your needs and can be flexibly combined.

Frequently asked questions

Psychological counselling is a supportive service for people facing challenging life situations or wishing to explore personal issues. It provides a space for reflection, guidance and the development of new perspectives and courses of action.

Psychological counselling is not psychotherapy. It offers support, guidance and assistance, but does not treat mental health conditions. Psychotherapy is a form of medical treatment and requires a diagnosis as well as therapeutic qualifications. If you are looking for a therapy place in Germany, the appointment service of the statutory health insurance doctors (Terminservicestelle) can help you find an appointment for an initial psychotherapy consultation. You can reach it on 116 117. If you’re unsure which is right for you, we can talk about it in the free initial call.

Psychological counselling is for adults who would like support with current challenges or want to reflect on their situation and their next steps. It is not suitable if you need treatment for a mental health condition. In an acute crisis, please contact your doctor or the emergency services (112 in Germany). In Germany, the free helpline Telefonseelsorge is available around the clock on 0800 111 0 111 or 0800 111 0 222.

The initial call is free and lasts around 20 minutes. You tell me briefly what’s on your mind, and we find out together whether my support is the right fit and what a first step could look like. There is no obligation.

Counselling takes place in confidential sessions, by telephone, online or as a Walk & Talk in Berlin, depending on what suits you. The focus is on your concerns and goals. The approach is tailored to your situation and takes place in a respectful, transparent setting on an equal footing.

Sessions are held in German. If you’d prefer English, get in touch and we can see whether it works.

The topics are wide-ranging, including life transitions, decision-making, professional and personal challenges, stressful situations, exhaustion, living with chronic illness and self-reflection.

Psychological counselling can help you gain clarity, make more informed decisions and build on your own strengths. It helps you to understand challenges better, develop new perspectives and find constructive solutions.

A session usually lasts around 50 minutes. The number and frequency of sessions depend on your needs and are agreed together.

In Germany, statutory health insurance generally does not cover psychological counselling, so it is a service you pay for yourself. Private health insurance or supplementary policies may have different arrangements in individual cases.
